With the completion of Normal mode with my Witch, I finished off the quest needed to allow the Scion to be a playable character. Before i started this new exciting journey through Nemesis with that Scion, I did a little research on a few things i could do besides just rush leveling. after all I have done the story and for the most part enjoyed it. But its done. nothing i do with the other toons will change that. That’s how it goes. gaming 101. I plotted out a spec-web direction i wish to play. I also got an idea of gear I would like to keep an eye out for. I’ll be doing a brief description and theory on this at a later date. To continue what I found in my search. I found a few fun things I can do while i’m grinding out levels and slowly progressing towards Cruelty difficulty. From time to time i like doing some achievements. OK! i like doing them all the time. So i think that i’ll be doing some of them as I traverse Wraeclast. Who knows maybe i’ll stop and do some fishing. >.>
For the reason i chose the title for this post. I was having some problem with my account. When i was in the beta i had a separate account. One that was not connected to Steam. I didn’t realize that it was still valid when i re-downloaded and connected through steam. I had to make a whole new account just to sign in with steam. It was really aggravating. So last night i decided to take a shot in the dark and send and e-mail to Grinding Gear Games support. I explained the problem and i really wished i could have my old account back, but keep all the progress I’ve done with the current. By that e-mail i had a lv 41 Witch in cruelty. and a budding Scion in Nemesis. Now i’m used to dealing with game developers support crews. It’s my job. The reality is that the higher percentage of them are what my old Tech School teacher would say; “Rude, Crude, and Unacceptable”! She was the best! Sorry back to story. That’s what I can expect from most support crews from Indie games to triple A outfits. Even the people that buy out old Chinese, Japanese, and Korean MMO’s and make them Free to plays here, and soaking you from all your money with Vanity items and garbage you don’t need. But I was so pleased with Grinding Gear Games. I wrote that e-mail a few hours before i crashed for the night. By morning i had a replay from a woman named Victoria. She was really nice and helpful. She helped me get what i wanted and it took no time at all. Seriously is that so much to ask from other support crews? Victoria did her company a great service by giving me the courtesy and respect I showed her in my e-mail. So keep up the good Victoria! We need more people like you!
To wrap up this post. I’ll say that now that i have some idea what is coming at me while i level my Scion, I have more confidence that i won’t get myself killed that easily. Yes this is me i’m talking about. The Reckless gamer that hunts down the line and hauls ass as far passed it as he can. Is there any other way to play? Don’t answer that! 🙂
